Protocol & Discipline

1.   

Convocation Ceremony is a solemn occasion requiring complete decorum.

2.    

No cross talk, personal or family photography, or unnecessary movements inside the convocation marquee are allowed during the ceremonies.

3.   

As a mark of respect, all attendees must stand at the following occasions:

3.1       

At the time when the academic procession enters the hall till they take their seats

3.2     

During the National song, Vande Mataram

3.3     

At the time of National Anthem

3.4     

At the time when the academic procession departs and leaves the hall.

3.5     

At the time of administering the “Oath”

4.   

During the function mobile phones should be kept in the silence mode.

5.     

The clapping of hands is the only form of acknowledgement recommended. Whistling and loud cheering are prohibited during the convocation ceremony.

6.       

During the entire period of the convocation ceremony, the audience will keep sitting in their seats and will not move out of their seats. Audience will move towards designated exits for refreshment/lunch only after the academic procession departs fully and due announcements are made.
